disaster.. look at the state of that... not impressed at all with this one .. looks like a robot is eating the room..
we had to run duct work all through the house we upgraded everything to high effency furnace forced air and heating. it is the most economical way of heating and cooling a canadian home. the furnace is the rolls royce of furnaces yet the duck work in what will be the sitting room come library is like sticking a poxy spoiler on it
all duct work has to be boxed in but the elbow on the duct work at the bottom comes out nearly 2 feet and the are 8'' wide i cant stick two, two foot by one foot boxes floor to ceiling either side of the front room window, it will look shite!
one sugestion was a roman column...
fuck that.

It looks like a quite a narrow room so (if its suitable) you could box in the vertical part of the pipes and throw a table in front of that window and stick some wooden benches (with backs on em) either side up against the walls (and maybe even a third up against the window) covering the ducts sticking out at the bottom... kind of rustic diner style or something.
Although that would limit what a prospective buyer could 'do' with the room a little bit...
hey eoin why not put radiator covers to cover the ducting not only do they cover the pipes but they also act as shelfs......you know it makes sense
nice one.. we where thinking along a library, book shelf.. with the seating under the window.. also we are getting a 1 foot window extension so if the book shelf is 1 foot deep the window just out another foot, it will regain some space i think.. just a night mare with all this retrofit stuff..
